KitchenAid started as a way to make large quantities of bread dough for the military during World War I. It became an icon of classic design, showcased in museum exhibits in the United States and Europe. KitchenAid's diverse product offering grew out of one man's efforts to make a labor-saving device for mixing bread dough.
